TV - DVR settings and grid view missing

Hi,

Never been on these forums before but i hope someone can help or at least shed a little light on the matter for me, it would be hugely appreciated.

I recently bought the HDHomeRun CONNECT Quatro. I also purchased the PLEX pass.

I am now able to view live TV within PLEX from the web app, i am also able to see this in the mobile app for android, and it all works almost perfectly. Although the option for “Program guide” does not appear on any of our TV’s but i suspect it is not currently supported for Sony and Hisense TV’s which would be a shame.

The issues:-

Basically, I am not able to see any settings for removing advertisements when i go to “Settings > Server > Live TV & DVR > DVR Settings” and scroll to the bottom. the option literally does not exist for me, whereas i have had a look at my colleagues and the option is defiantly there.

I am also not able to see the grid view for the TV guide when i go to the “Program Guide” from the PLEX home screen (PLEX web app). I am only able to see “Discover, Watch now, Movies, News, Shows and Sports” whereas my colleague with an almost identical setup gets the option for “Channels” and this is where he can get the grid view.

The only real difference between my setup and my colleagues is the fact that i bought the “Quatro” tuner and my colleague bought the “Duo” but i wouldn’t have thought this would be the cause of the problem. (i could be wrong)
My colleague also has a digital tuner aerial thing whereas i am using a proper aerial.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:-

If you have anything else you can suggest i try, i am quite a technical person and will be able to do almost anything you suggest. (I am all out of ideas)

  1. Ensured all versions of PLEX and firmware for HDHomeRun are on the latest versions
  2. Tested on numerous Devices (laptops, computers and phones/tablets)
  3. Removed and re-added the DVR from the PLEX setup screen
  4. Removed and reinstalled all HDHomeRun setup software and reconfigured the DVR
  5. changed update channel to “Beta” from “Public” as suggested on other sites
  6. Both devices are on the same network (plugged into the same router)

Might want to review the Frequently Asked Questions – DVR & Live TV sections on which apps can schedule/manage DVR recordings.

I have the same problem. Using the Plex Web App v 3.71.1 on PMS v1.13.8.5395. There is not Channel option in the Guide area. The Support doc says that there should be for the Plex Web App.

How do I get this view?

OK. So that was weird. I seemed to be in the Plex Web App via app.plex.tv URL and able to use my system, make administrative changes etc , but I was not logged in as my account. Very odd. Once I noticed this and logged i the Channel section appeared.

I cannot see the channels on mine at all. Nothing but Discover. Whole reason I paid for Pass!!

Without some rudimentary information about your set up, you’re not likely to receive any assistance. So…

What tuner are you using?

What OS is your PMS installed on?

What client (or app) are you using?

HDHomerun, OMV, web app.

This might have the fix? Not sure…

Make sure you’ve got the latest PMS and Web app installed.

It’s a moot point now. Just found out my streaming channels are no longer supported. What a waste. No more ABC, FOX, HGTV, Etc. Now time to get a refund from this wasted adventure!
