I would really like Plex to be able to handle additional video for TV episodes, like 1x03b, 1x03c, or 1x03.1, 1x03.2…
This would be useful in the following areas:
Television programs that have an “After Show” segment like The Challenge, or Naked and Afraid’s Naked After Dark, or Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on the Side. It’s awkward having to jump between two programs. It would be better if these were all queued in the same show and season. Currently if I name a show 1x03b, it is stacked with 1x03 and neither my Samsung SmartTV nor my FireTV support stacked items that I can see. Certainly I can’t select it separately for viewing. The best solution I’ve come up with so far is to just rename all the episodes sequentially. But that’s a pain and messes up Sonarr.
Placing special episodes in chronological sequence. I don’t want to watch season 1’s outtakes before 1x01 or at the end of all seasons. I want to watch it chronologically after the episode it followed. So I rename 0x07 to 3x05b, for example. Same problem as above. It would be nice if Plex handled it as a separate episode between episode 3x05 and 3x06.
Additional DVD extras could be placed in the correct viewing position.
(That’s my naming convention, feel free to sub s01e03 for 1x03…)
