Howdy folks,
I recently updated a show (Firefly) to order by “DVD order”. I had to do the plex dance a few times but now it’s working. 
Except that the episode thumbnails are incorrect, showing the thumbnail from the old ordering method (“Airing Order”). Refreshing the meta-data on the season or per episode doesn’t seem to have any affect. I’ve already deleted the trash and cleaned the bundles a few times. But this must be old data floating around. It even still shows the partially watched status of a few episodes. What am I missing please?
Here is what I have done:
- Deleted the old data folder.
- Scanned library files
- Emptied the trash
- Cleaned bundles
- Outside of the library created a new episode folder. Added newly ripped files with purged metadata. Named files as such: Firefly.S01E01
- Added new library folder back to library location
- Scanned library files again
At this point the episodes and the descriptions are in the DVD ordering scheme. But the thumbnail for each episode is still showing the airing date version. And the episodes are still retaining any partially watched data (ie - Resume Playback). I have tried refreshing the metadata to no avail. Do I just need to wait for the other Plex Scheduled tasks to run?
I know in the big picture the thumbnails don’t affect much, but this is a favorite show of mine and I’d like it to be correct. Thanks in advance for any insight!
