So, i had a tv show where the episodes were numbered wrong.
I fixed the episode naming so the names show up correctly, but there are now many episodes with thumbnails correspond to the wrong episode.
How do I fix them?

I have tried pulling the show out of my scanned folder. Plex then wouldnt notice it was gone no matter how many times I rescanned the library. So then I “deleted” it, and cleared the trash, and it was gone.
I then moved the files back in. It re-adds them, loads up correct looking thumbnails, and then once it loads the metadata, all the episodes change back to having the wrong thumbnails again.
The advice I saw elsewhere involved “Cleaning Bundles” but there is no button anywhere to do that. Someone said you can find the option by clicking the … next to the library in the web app. The option is not in that list.
How do I fix the thumbnails? Preferably something less obnoxious than “Reinstall Plex and rescan your whole library” because I would really rather not.
If I can tell it “regenerate thumbnails for all episodes in the UI for this show/library/everything” that would be fantastic.
The Plex Dance®:
All Steps. In Order. No Shortcuts.
‘Clean Bundles’ is under ‘The Dots’ as you hover over the word ‘Libraries’ in the left pane of Plexweb - not under the dots hovering over ‘The Library’.

It is one of the known flaws when using the ‘DVD episode ordering’ that the thumbnails are still those from the ‘Aired ordering’.
There is currently no known cure except manually editing the episodes and picking the right thumbnail.
The issue is already filed.
foiled again…
Well - at least we now know where Clean Bundles is and we know the ‘official steps’ of The Plex Dance®.
