I’m new to the forum so please forgive the duplicates if these have been requested already. I used Plex with Apple TV. There are a few enhancement requests I would love to see in the app that would make it the best thing since sliced bread. As I mentioned before, I use the Plex app with Apple TV. The apple TV’s act as my cable boxes and Plex serves as my live TV DVR. Here are my list of enhancements:

There is a lack of functionality on Apple TV. It would be nice if you could record live TV from your Apple TV. Currently you have to configure all your recording from your computer or cell phone. If I’m in the middle of a show and have to leave for some reason, I shouldn’t have to pull out my phone and login to my Plex server to record the remainder of the program. That options seems like a no brainer to me.

Program Guide. While Plex’s live TV interface is ok, it would be nice if it also included a TV guide option as well. I can’t speak for most people but I have a very non technical wife. Keeping the interfaces a similar to cable as possible saves me a number of continuous questions like “How do I do this again”, “Why is this so different”, “Can we put the cable back cause this is hard”. I currently use the app called Channels for Live TV watching just to prevent that barrage of wife questions/complaints.
