TV scanner ignores episode with sample in filename. What to do?
My TV Series - S01E01 - Sample.avi
Remove the episode title (Sample) from the filename maybe?
PMS ignores any file names with “Sample” in them. A holdover from earlier days
Or spell it
My TV Series - S01E01 - Zample.avi
or
My TV Series - S01E01 - Sampel.avi
Doesn’t really matter, since Plex won’t take the episode name from the file name anyway.
Any merit for the Holdover today?
People still have plenty of sample files in their collections.
If these would suddenly appear amongst their movies…
Perhaps a configuration switch to toggle the behavior on a per library basis? Then those of us who want those files showing up could disable it.
