This thread is 4 years old. And, I still can not get “Specials” Anime episodes to play in the correct order that they are listed as airing. ex: “Goblin Slayer S01E01 The Fate of Particular Adventurers” should play first. It does not. “Goblin Slayer S00E02 Movie Goblin’s Crown” plays first. “Goblin Slayer S00E02 Movie Goblin’s Crown” should not play until after “Goblin Slayer S01E12 The Fate of an Adventurer”.

Do to this, I can not have any Anime on my Plex server for others in my household to enjoy. Kodi has 0 (Zero) issues with things like this. In Kodi, “Specials” episodes are listed within the episodes list in the order that they aired. As long as they are named properly like they are on The TVDB. Things like this, are why I can not pull the trigger and fully commit to a Plex Subscription. For me, Plex is only good for serving up Movies off my unraid server.

Thought I mention that the new Plex tv-show agent/scanner is no longer a forum preview but can be used as regular beta since PMS 1.22.0 (beta release).

Yes, it does. That’s why I’ve mentioned it here.

New agent works well. Just waiting for all of the apps to support every level for extras. Only other minor issues is you can’t name extras for individual episodes. That said even just being able to have custom names at a season level is a great step forward and mean we don’t need to have extras as separate episodes now.
