Since that’s TheTVDB’s naming convention for multipart episodes in DVD order, I assume the problem will be commonly encountered by others who use Plex’s built-in “DVD Order” sorting. For me it occurs in three shows - Seinfeld, Animaniacs, and PAW Patrol. But multipart episodes are certainly common enough, I assume that the frequency this comes up is simply limited by the number of people who use the “DVD Order” feature. Yes the agent is out there, it’s just a lot less convenient for me to use. I may end up resorting to it.
For now, please give it a shot.
There is a lot vying for engineering time. DVD order agent works and there will be pushback against overhauling something with a workaround versus something totally broken.

I hope this is an appropriate place for this. I have a TV show that TVDB has listed as season 2005 and the title is in the graphic I have attached. I have placed it in my usual folder as following structure. TV Series To Watch/History Channel Documentaries/Season 05/Christmas Unwrapped The History of Christmas- s05e06 - Christmas Unwrapped The History of Christmas (2005)
I also tried:
TV Series To Watch/History Channel Documentaries/Season 2005/Christmas Unwrapped The History of Christmas- s2005e06 - Christmas Unwrapped The History of Christmas (2005)
TV Series To Watch/History Channel Documentaries/Season 05/History Channel Documentaries- s05e06 - Christmas Unwrapped The History of Christmas (2005)
TV Series To Watch/History Channel Documentaries/Season 2005/History Channel Documentaries- s2005e06 - Christmas Unwrapped The History of Christmas (2005)
TVDB lists the season as 2005, but I don’t know that it fits the Sxx recommendation. The actual title has a colon after Unwrapped, but you can’t put a colon in the title of a file.
I am trying to clean up my Plex, and this is one example where I can not get it to work after an hour of renaming. Any help would be appreciated as I have other History Channel back-ups I would like to get on as well.
Thanks,

Me Too, but I assume, if not, it can be snatched away - along with the correct answer - that follows…
https://support.plex.tv/articles/200220687-naming-series-season-based-tv-shows/
It would simply be:
TV Series To Watch/ <— TV Show Library
…History Channel Documentaries/
…Season 2005/
…History Channel Documentaries - s2005e06 - Christmas Unwrapped The History of Christmas.xxx
If, by chance, that file is an MP4/M4V - Read and Heed:

(Plex Dance may be required to ultimately fix the above TV Show/Episode)
Four digit year seasons are used as given.
History Channel Documentaries:
Season 2016/
[chuck@lizum tv.103]$
Series Name/Season 2016/Series Name - S2016E01 - Title
Plex Dance the media is needed in this case
