TV Series On Deck Quick Play

I tend to watch our way through a TV show through a Roku, when I sit down to watch an episode I have to go 

 

Plex -> TV Show Library ->All Shows -> [scroll to show] -> select season -> find last unwatched

 

Netflix does this better, on the Netflix channel I'm presented with a 'last watched' bar, I select the show and it takes me to the first partially watched or unwatched episode. So what I would like is for On Deck to provide the same functionality, So I'm hoping for a view like this (from Roku or Web View):

Assuming Doctor  Who Tv Series looked like this:

 

Doctor Who s1e01 - Watched

Doctor Who s1e02 - Watched

Doctor Who s1e03 - Watched

Doctor Who s1e04 - Watched

Doctor Who s2e01 - Watched

Doctor Who s2e02 - Watched

Doctor Who s2e03 - Watched

Doctor Who s2e04 - Partially Watched

Doctor Who s2e05 - UnWatched

Doctor Who s3e01 - UnWatched

Doctor Who s3e02 - UnWatched

Doctor Who s3e03 - UnWatched

Doctor Who s3e04 - UnWatched

 

So on my Roku or from the web interface if I go down to 'On Deck' and select Doctor Who I would expect it to take me to Doctor Who s2e04 and present me with the option of watching that episode.

 

To be honest I can see this working with any logical grouping like music or photos, for example rather than tell me the last track played was Pompeii, to display the Bastelle album and selecting it takes me straight to the last unplayed song (or the first if all are played).

 

Appologies if this is a duplicate, I had no idea what to search for to see if others had suggested it.

I know what you mean by that path "Plex -> TV Show Library ->All Shows -> [scroll to show] -> select season -> find last unwatched". That's how I go along to play the last seen episode again, because my girlfriend fell asleep last night during this episode ^^

I don't know the roku but on Plex Home Theater (Windows, Mac and Linux), PlexWeb, Plex for mobile (iOS and Android), Plex Laika (Samsung SmartTV) there is the functionality to see the next actual episode in an own category or show it on deck.... I can't believe that just Roku hasn't this option.

On my SamsungTV I would start plex, scroll to TV Shows and on the right side there would be Doctor Who S02E04 partially watched. If I click on it there's a popup which asks me to resume or play from beginning. On my iPhone, iPad and in PlexWeb there is an option to setup the dashboard to display actual files. There would be also shown up the doctor who episode and maybe How I met your mother S09E21 I have to watch next...
