Hi,
just added a series but all metadata is English. Library is set to TheTVDB and to German. The series has German translations on TheTvDb.com but still all metadata (titles, contents) remains in English. Any ideas where to look?

Did you by chance manually match that show?
To verify… can you open the details page of an episode of that show and click on ... > Get Info > View XML – what is showing as Guid in that XML (there should be 3 entries… guid, parentGuid and GrandparentGuid)
I was not aware of a manual match. I was then trying to manually match (correct match) and was explicitly searching with the language option “German”. There way only one match. I chose it. Still:
guid=“com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb://70874/3/1?lang=en” parentGuid=“com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb://70874/3?lang=en” grandparentGuid=“com.plexapp.agents.thetvdb://70874?lang=en”
So it still matches for “en”. How do I change this?

I even removed the matched and then rematched… Still English.
I then manually matched and changed from TheTVDB to TheMovieDatabase and NOW it is in German.
From experience… Plex doesn’t like re-matching just using a different language. I believe there’s a check if anything changed that’s only looking at the agent and show id— but not considering the language. So to change the language you need to unmatch a show before re-matching it.
It’s odd that this still didn’t do the job for you.
