TV Show matching not working for most of my shows

Hey guys, I’m running into a bizarre situation where I had my Plex DVR record a whole bunch of shows. I then installed Plex on a separate machine and loaded the tv shows library into there, but none of the metadata is matched at all.

Obviously naming conventions were all generated by plex, I didn’t touch them at all:
/mnt/tv_shows/American Dad (2005)/Season 02/American Dad (2005) - S02E02 - The American Dad After School Special.ts

On the original machine the episode shows all of the info, such as title, description, etc. But on the new machine it’s totally blank, just showing basic info like resolution and duration.

I’ve tried to remove the TV Shows library, delete trash, Clean Budless, recreate the library several times. Each time it scans and the matches don’t change or improve at all. TheTVDB is set as the Agent for this library and I also moved TheTVDB to the top in all agents lists.

The issue itself isn’t so bad until I realized that I can’t use the DVR now, since it’s trying to re-record every single episode allover again.

Am I doing something stupid someplace?

Thanks

Ok, I just figured out the issue, and it was really dumb. Sorry for the bogus post.

I copied this install directly, it wasn’t really a reinstall, since I didn’t want to have to recreate all my settings. And my Media and Metadata folders were symlinks which pointed to nothing. Oops, I’ve corrected that and now it seems like it’s loading the metadata just fine.

Actually, I spoke too soon. The fix I found did seem to fix it for most recordings I moved over, but some are still not matching:

This one didn’t match:
/mnt/tv_shows/American Dad (2005)/Season 11/American Dad (2005) - S11E05 - Stan Smith as Keanu Reeves as Stanny Utah in Point Breakers.ts

However, this one did:
/mnt/tv_shows/American Dad (2005)/Season 11/American Dad (2005) - S11E03 - Hayley Smith Seal Team Six.ts

Again, these were both recorded by a Plex DVR previously and I’m just mounting that machine’s drive on a different machine running plex.

Any ideas? I’ve noticed this happens quite often.

I’m testing out a setup right now where I have one Plex doing recording and writing the assets onto an NFS drive, then another Plex is actually supposed to play it back. The second Plex is obviously getting the full filenames and folder structure from the intial recording but it’s totally unable to match tons of recordings. The idea here is that the recording plex is a fairly powerful machine but it has almost no storage while the 2nd one is a NAS server (it’s a linux box too but I don’t want it to be responsible for encoding, comskipping, etc)

This is another example which isn’t matching:
/stor/tv_shows/Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013)/Season 01/Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013) - S01E04 - M.E. Time.ts

The recording Plex has the full metadata for this show, but the 2nd one has zero information other than the basic resolution and audio information.
