TV Show mismatching

So the new show Rebel. Simple one word show. Folder structure:
Rebel/Season_1/S01E01-FLEET.mkv
Simple, abiding to standards. Matches:
“The Rebel” from 1959 TheTVdb id = 76434. Does not have secondary name of Rebel.
Should have matched “Rebel” TheTVdb id = 323586
Does not show upon opening Fix Match

So I removed the folder, updated library, replaced folder, updated, I guess it remembers the manual match, but refuses to show as recently added.

You are using the wrong naming convention. You need to name it correctly.

At least attempt to mask your blatant piracy online.

Also update to the latest server release you can as there were various matching issues on the 1.4.x releases.

Also, when you created the TV Library is it pointed to just /media/plexlibrary/TV ?
Or have you added each letter folder to the library individually as in…

/media/plexlibrary/TV/a
/media/plexlibrary/TV/b
/media/plexlibrary/TV/c

Unless you have added each letter folder to the Library you will see odd results.

^Correct I do have individual folders for each letter. And each letter added to the library individually.

Naming convention of the episode file? Having the series name in the filename in a folder with the series name is redundant. And if that were the issue it wouldn’t even match to the incorrect Rebel.

And I’m on v1.5.x

The files and folders needs to be named like below.

/TV Shows
   /Grey's Anatomy
      /Season 01
         Grey's Anatomy - s01e01.avi
         Grey's Anatomy - s01e02 - The First Cut is the Deepest.avi
         Grey's Anatomy - s01e03.mp4
      /Season 02
         Grey's Anatomy - s02e01.avi
         Grey's Anatomy - s02e02.mkv
         Grey's Anatomy - s02e03.m4v

Also sometimes adding the date the show was created helps IE. Sirens for me would always give the 1990’s version of the show and not the 2014 version.

I’d suggest always using the YEAR in the directory name. Usually not as important in the filename IF the year is in the directory name.
