TV Show possible to force TheTVDB?

Hi,

i can somehow force to use only tvdb? As i have issue with anime… for example Ghost in The Shell.
in tvdb there are 3 seasons → 攻殻機動隊 - TheTVDB.com
in imdb there are 2 seasons → Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (TV Series 2002–2005) - IMDb
in plex mediaverse are 3 season → https://mediaverse.plex.tv/show/ghost-in-the-shell-stand-alone-complex (interesting is that count of episodes are 52 there… so just count of season 01+02)

But in my plex i can see just 2 seasons and it is ignoring the 3rd season.
I tried to just search and attach to tvdb-73749, but no luck.
My naming convention is like this:
Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex
– Season 01
— Koukaku Kidoutai Stand Alone Complex.S01E01.001.Section-9.1080p.x264.8bit.AAC5.1-Zero-Raws
– Season 02
— Koukaku Kidoutai S.A.C. 2nd GIG.S02E01.027.Reembody.1080p.x264.8bit.AAC5.1-Zero-Raws
– Season 03
— Koukaku Kidoutai SAC_2045.S03E01.053.NO NOISE NO LIFE - Sustainable War.1080p.x264.8bit.EAC35.1-DragsterPS

Any suggestions or similiar issues?

Edit that particular show and set Advanced > Episode ordering to The TVDB (aired, dvd or absolute)

Tried that… still just 2 series (but it changed poster pictures).

This 3rd season was just released. Give the Plex proxies a bit of time to load this new information.

It was one year ago… same issue i have for Black Butler only Season 1 and Specials, ignoring Season 2
But like every other anime is ok.
Default order of whole library is tvdb and the library was freshly created.

Please again show your folder and file names.

Same logic like i use on anything else. Sonarr is detecting it without issues, and data is taken by filebot from tvdb.

Example of something which is working fine:

Filebot naming convention:
{primarytitle}.{s00e00}({absolute.pad(3)}).{t}.{vf}.{vc}.{bitdepth}bit.{AC}{channels}

You should really separate the SxxEyy code properly from the rest of the informations. It could be the absolute episode number which you’re appending immediately afterwards, which is interfering here.

Is the anime Plex library pointed directly to the folder G:\Anime? It must not be pointed to just G:\ or directly to each anime series subfolder.

Please read Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files | Plex Support and adapt the renaming pattern of your software accordingly.

On a Windows system, there is absolutely no need to use a dot (.) instead of a space, as recommend.

I further recomend you to enclose all additional information (720p.x264… etc) with square brackets.

Also, the file name must start with the show name. The same show name which you are using in the top level folder.

Hi, oki solved… Solution was just to remove the folder (move outside plex folder)… rescan library, add it back.
For some reason it was the season 3 scanned as season 1 and put as duplicate files under season 1.
Still im curious why it happen, but im happy that it is working with this fix
Anyway thx for trying to help
