I’m also seeing where your CPU is only barely keeping up with transcode requirements (speed=0.9 -> speed=1.1) (0.9x -> 1.1x) . The value 1.0 = 100% of realtime requirement.
I recommend you do the following:
Investigate the issue with your media ( line 3 ). You have multiple episods there which could not be correctly read.
With PMS restarted restart your client apps and retest
If you can successfully see everything in Plex/web (browser), then the individual client must be diagnosed.
If this does not remedy the situation, I would like you to stop PMS, reinstall PMS on top of itself. This reinstalls the binaries but preserves your metadata. (If you uninstall first, you will lose your metadata)
Hi ChuckPA,
I really appreciate your kind help here and PMS is our only and best choice for our home entertainment media . Since the database I have runs perfectly on my AD7200 R9000 router, and on a Windows machine I built a PMS server on this week, I decided to try another route. I Just know neither one of them can keep up with the capacity I will need going forward with PLEX.
I had QNAP support (SimplyNAS) add 2TB of cache SSDs, 40 TB of storage in 2 Data Volumes and reset the TVS 16G 882 to factory defaults. Of course that took all night and I did a clean install of 1.10.1.4561 for QNAP released December 6th this morning. I didn’t re-load my database.
I created two empty folders, one for TV Shows and one for Movies.
I had one of my two HD Homeruns record a TV show, and then a Movie.
The TV Show has no artwork “By folder” on all 5 clients. *you can’t see this on the server side.
The movie has perfect artwork “By folder” on all 5 clients.
The clients work perfectly on the R9000 or Windows running PMS, artwork and titles are everywhere, but they are very slow and top out at 4TB (external WD drive).
I wanted to make certain this wasn’t my database, and it appears to be what I would guess as a “nested folder” issue only on the QNAP release, best I can compare it to, as I write my own websites and have made this error myself./…/…
I can certainly work around this by using “all shows” in the TV show folder and all the artwork and titles are there.
The path I use is /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/homes/ (either TV Shows, Movies, Music and Pics if you find that helpful.
I do not use HD station and saw your contribution on that problem - thank you!
There is no doubt in my mind, I made the right choice with QNAP and Plex - we will work this out with your expertise.
Where do I go from here?
Best,
Harry
