TV Shows Library organized by alphabetized folders, is it supported?

I have my Movie library organized this way and it works no prob. I found the time to finally work on my TV shows library and decided to use the same method to organize them the same way.

However, this did not work how I expected. Plex would take the first show in the A folder, then any following shows episodes would be lumped together in that first show. For example, if the first show had 4 seasons, and the longest running show in that folder had 20 seasons, the first show would have 20 seasons and every other show in that folder would lump each matching episode number in each season. So, one episode would have 5 episodes of different shows that matched the season/episode #.

I haven’t found any documentation that states this is a limitation vs a bug. It would be nice if I could organize this way. I also thought of some workarounds like adding each the sub folders individually to the library (A,B,C etc) or some combination of that so it’s not so tedious.

Any ideas?

Index folders do not work for tv shows.
There is a workaround, but it requires a lot of labor:
Instead of adding the parent folder, (which contains all the index folders) to Plex,
you add each index folder individually.
However, if your tv show library is spread out over more than one storage volume, you’d have to do that for each storage volume over.
And you should avoid adding more than ~30 folder paths to a single Plex library.

But consider this: in this day and age, there are fast ways to navigate around your media on the file manager level, which make index folders pretty much obsolete.

Thanks for the insight. I’ll probably reverse course on this idea.
