How long does it take to add the entire normal TV directory (or one with more content)?

Compare that with the procedure which I outlined previously

  1. Move Angel out of the main TV gdrive directory
  2. Scan files (let it finish)
  3. Empty Trash
  4. Clean bundles (let that finish too)
  5. Optimize database (taking extra cleanup step)
  6. Move Angel back into main TV gdrive directory ?

I just added 3 other series (Doctor Who, Eureka, and Heroes) each series pulled its meta data quite quickly and fully without any problems. So the real question now is how do I fix my original library?

Now let’s swap back to the original library.

  1. Stop PMS
  2. Rename "Library to “Library.test”
  3. Rename “Library.keep” back to “Library”
  4. Sign out of Plex/web
  5. Close the tab
  6. Start PMS
  7. Come back in and verify original server there

Now, regarding “Angel”,

  1. Go to gdrive
  2. make a new directory (to hold stuff)
  3. Move “Angel”, in its entirety, there.
  4. For the TV series library section:
    a. Have PMS Scan Files, – allow it to finish
    b. Empty Trash
    c. Clean Bundles – allow this to finish too
  5. Go back to Gdrive and put “Angel” back into proper position.
  6. Scan files again in the TV section.

Interesting, switch back to the original library, and once again… nothing. Even deleted the section and created a new one and nothing.

I could just recreate everything in a new library, but that will be annoying to do and take a while for it to pull metadata for 1050 movies, 300hrs of music and about 45 different tv series… not to mention I lose historical data associated with the old library.

So since Plex is working but my libraries got corrupted somehow. I have simply just rebuilt everything into a new library. It is taking quite a bit of time for PMS to chug through it, but it is doing it. I have all 1050 movies done, about 30 series done and about half of the music.
