I’ve been trying to fetch the latest metadata for Animal Control (2 logos from TMDB) and The Paper (2025) (season 2 description from TVDB) for over 7 days, but Plex isn’t getting them. I even tried getting a friend to add the shows to his server in case it was something on my end and to avoid re-adding the shows, but his didn’t get the metadata either. My scanner/agent is set to Plex series.
I also tried making a manual API call to TMDB for Animal Control and I did get the logos. I realise Plex uses a proxy cache, so I’m not sure what it takes to refresh this.
I had to switch my episode ordering to tmdb, refresh metadata and then switch it back to default (tvdb in my case) and refresh again for it to pull down the season 2 description, not sure why a basic refresh wasn’t working.
Are all your other shows/movies downloading metadata properly? If not, it could be a DNS issue (or something else) on your end that needs to be addressed
Ahh ok, sorry , I just counted the 7 and assumed it was the same.
For the second image, uW4aR7Bua30FSDa2mQDx1yYZiiS.png, looks like you added it on the 17th, so may take a couple more days to sync.
The other logo and poster, xKmn0yI6dZ1a7U7Sa2aDKyLrTdV.png , should be there since you added it on the 10th.
Hopefully someone from plex can take a look at why they aren’t showing up and maybe force a refresh. @BigWheel is there any way to force a refresh on the show, or is there another reason these wouldn’t be showing up?
