Hi.

Even if TMDB or TVDB have all info (posters, title, description all seasons, etc.) about TV shows still don’t read all information ( like, Seasons description, seasons poster or name of episodes).

Other things is, after 2 day’s implement correct TV show info in preferred language and poster ( I didn’t change any settings) but still missing ifo or poster about Seasons. Both meta data services have them.

Then looks like is a Plex scraper or Scanner problem. Then edit manually, shame :slightly_frowning_face:

Certain movies have had their posters removed by the owner (Copyright)

Some shows download all details, posters , info about show and seasons. But some only poster, info about Show (sometimes TMDB and TVDB info are different as imported; like Breslau), but not at all info about season.

Which language did you set for your library?
It doesn’t look like there are complete metadata in many languages present – neither on TheTVDB, nor on TheMovieDB.

If you contribute to either website, allow at least 72 hours for the data to travel into Plex.
In some cases it can take up to a week for changed data to arrive.

I have one more TV Show, Drelich (2025). Only info about show has been taken, no poster.

Waiting for few days or whole week is bit weird. Why scraper cant read them in even few minutes, you need to wait few day’s :unamused_face:

Because Plex doesn’t use a scraper to read the info directly from tvdb or tmdb.

Instead, the official API of these websites is used (and paid for). The results are then combined and cached on plex.tv systems.
This is to

  1. compensate the websites and help maintaining them
  2. not overwhelm these websites with the traffic that all plex users combined are able to generate.

I don’t think the 72 hour “rule” is working properly.

TMDB: 04.09 - still not matchable on Plex Series:

Also, a blunder seems to have been made with management of the metadata at plex’s side: The shows “16 Ukers Helvete” and “16 Ukers Helvete: Bootcamp” appear to have been merged as one show, although it is in fact two seperate shows.

Is there an official place to do bugreports like these?

Look at the “external ID” links on this page 16 ukers helvete bootcamp - TheTVDB.com
They are pointing to the main show on IMDb ans Wikidata. This causes them to get merged with the main show in Plex.
I have removed the incorrect links now, but changes like this can takle up to a week before they are reflected in Plex.

The other 2 shows you have linked are only aired today, and in 3 days, for the first time.

So the Plex metadata agent only updates ~0-72 hours after airdate, and not when the entries are made ready on TheMovieDB beforehand?
