I am trying to create a library to watch YouTube channel videos I have downloaded using Pinchflat. I created the library as “TV Shows” so when I add additional channels they are separate as if they were a TV show. The agent I selected is “Plex Personal Media”. I have also tried “Personal Media Shows” with similar results.
When I add a handful of videos to the folder (folder structure is /Channel Name/Season 1/Episode Name - YYYY-MM-DD.mp4), sometimes, for some videos, the metadata is read correctly. Frequently, the poster is selected incorrectly, and the title doesn’t match the metadata and is instead “Episode MM-DD”.
Based on initial research, I confirmed that in the Agent settings for the server, the “Local Media Assets (TV)” option is selected and at the top of the list.
In my attempts figure out the issue, I created an “Other Videos” library, using the “Plex Personal Media” agent, pointing to the same data. The metadata in this library loads correctly and reliably.
Any suggestions to getting this working in the “TV Shows” library is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
