TV shows stutter and stop at 1 minute remaining

Hi I have been having this problem recently. Watching TV shows on wifi on an android device and consistently at the last minute of the episode it stutters for 2 seconds and then the stream stops. My plex server can handle much more normally so I do not think that it is struggling cpu wise. I have most recent plex app and server version. Anyone have a fix? Thanks!

Server Version#: 1.21.3.4046
Player Version#: 8.9.2.21619

thats a release from November of last year. current is 8.13 (though i don’t recall any specific fixes for playback stopping randomly)

I updated the app but it didn’t fix it
