Hey guys i downloaded monster season 1, 2, and 3. and for some reason 1 and 2 are showing under one series but the 3rd one is a seperate on. i changed the name of the files to show it was season 3 of monster but didn’t do anything.. Any ideas?
Suspect you are getting bit by the Plex Agent defaulting to TMDB. TMDB has the 3rd season listed as a separate show. I created a test folder doing the following:
Create “Monster (2022)”
add a dummy file s01e01.mp4, the selected TVDB episode ordering under Advanced
copied s01e01.mp4 to s02e01.mp4
copied s01e01.mp4 to s03e01.mp4
After a Plex scan, it recognized the Series and it shows 3 seasons. The only oddity I’m seeing is that Plex is not pulling the episode titles for S1
Make sure each season is in its own season sub folder under the main Monster (2022) folder and the episodes are just named with Monster (2022) - S0xE0x ….. Also, as shared previously, change the episode order to TVDB (Aired).
The one thing to keep in mind, if you use the mobile app, it will use a logo from the Dahmer season/show as the logo/title for all seasons. This can’t be changed within plex at this time. There’s a script to do it manually, but you’ll have to create your own logo.
