TVDB Agent: Colons are required for some shows; why?

I’m on the latest Windows Plex Pass Channel; v1.1.4.2757. I tried adding two different shows that are supposed to have colons in the name; one automatically matched when it was first added, but the other one failed to automatically match when it was first added. Both have the same exact naming convention and should yield the same search process, but for some reason it doesn’t work. I don’t understand what the difference is to figure out exactly why one automatically matches and why one doesn’t automatically match, and what exactly to do/change to make both automatically match when they’re first added, whether it be changing something on tvdb or renaming something differently; here are the details:

This one automatically matches:
Shows\Superfoods_The.Real.Story\Season.01\S01E01.mp4

It searches “Superfoods The Real Story”
and then automatically matches to “Superfoods: The Real Story”
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=297428

This one doesn’t automatically match:
Shows\Wanted_A.Very.Personal.Assistant\Season.01\S01E01.mp4

It searches “Wanted A Very Personal Assistant”
It should automatically match to “Wanted: A Very Personal Assistant”
http://thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=299226

For some reason the second one refuses to automatically match despite it being the same exact naming convention and search process, and I can’t figure out the exact detail that makes one match and not the other. Since Plex let’s you search using the tvdb id, I thought I’d be clever and use that to name the show folder so that it should automatically search using the tvdb id.

Shows\299226\Season.01\S01E01.mp4

Doesn’t automatically match; however, when I manually told it to match without changing the show title it listed the one correct show in the search results and let me manually match perfectly. If it can match it perfectly using a manual show title search of “299226,” why can’t it automatically match it with a folder named “299226” that automatically names the show title “299226.” Silly…

I was hoping to find a clever solution and name the folder 299226;Wanted_A.Very.Personal.Assistant since that would be a tolerable compromise that forces Plex to only name the show title 299226 while the folder would still include the show name. Sadly, even that doesn’t work; apparently using a semicolon in the filename only truncates the show name if it’s preceded by letters, not numbers such as a tvdb id. For example, “Wanted;A.Very” truncates to “Wanted” but “299226;Wanted” doesn’t truncate to “299226”

I infinitely refuse to accept a mediocre lackadaisically defeatist pathetically over-forgiving answer to just manually match; please stop that. If you’re thinking of suggesting that because *reasons, stop lying to yourself that it’s helping. I fanatically want to know absolutely 100% the exact reason why one automatically matches, and absolutely 100% the exact reason why the other one doesn’t automatically match.

As an aside, I’ve also tried adding dashes, spaces, underscores, semi-colons, and various combinations of any/all of the above; nothing seems to work. I know XBMC/Kodi gives you a fail-safe option to automatically match any show by creating a tvshow.nfo file containing the show’s tvdb url in plain-text; is there anything similar that Plex can do, or has that feature been completely scrapped when they forked? Alternatively, are there any third-party agents that could resolve this issue?
