Plex hasn’t been able to Auto-Match newly added TV Shows for a while now. I’ve added the latest tvdb log, and it looks like a 404 error is stopping it.

it’s a problem with TheTVDB.
They changed the sorting order with what they return (not sorted by “best match” anymore).
The legacy agent was written to only oonsider the first returned item because it was the best match.
Now, the first match returned isn’t always good enough to satisfy the match requirement.
Engineering is aware and already working on making the legacy scanner able to handle the change.

Until a fix is available, perform a Fix Match using the series id from TheTVDB.com. Use the ID instead of the show name and leave the year empty. It should find the correct info.

@FordGuy61 Yes manual matching works as expected. Auto match on adding new content doesn’t 
@ChuckPa thanks for the update! You mention legacy scanner. Is there a newer scanner available that I can switch to?
