I could never figure out how to make it so a TV show that is listed as a movie in the TVDB to show up in plex under TV Shows can someone please help me… I’m lost on this. I am trying to do a cartoon that is listed as a Movie in the TVDB. How do I write it so the TVDB picks it up in Plex under TV shows… If I put this in the wrong discussion I’m sorry.
Movies belong in a Movie library.
TV Shows belong in a TV Show library.
No mixing allowed.
Note that TVDB sometimes has duplicate listings.
Looney Tunes are listed as both movies and TV Show episodes.
For example, You Ought to Be in Pictures is listed as a movie (link) and also as s1940e16 (link).
TVDB’s search is a bit “quirky.” If you search for You Ought to Be in Pictures it only lists the movie. You have to look at the movie year then check the appropriate season of the Looney Tunes tv show listing to find the episode number.
So you cant list a show as a movie. So why is it created as a movie
