Tuner Make/Model: HDHR Prime 3 (Two Units)
Hi there. Been using Plex for a few years, Live TV for about 2, and today years old on the forum. I’m honestly not sure if this has happened in the past, but recently, if I have 3 shows recording on the DVR, filling up one HDHR Prime 3 unit, and I want to watch Live TV on a different channel, Plex doesn’t seem to know to tune to said channel on the second HDHR Prime 3 unit. I receive a “could not create playback session error”. Both HDHR Prime 3’s are registered in my Plex server, and active. When I use the HDHomerun App, the channel tunes just fine, and the tuner indicator is active on the second HDHR Prime 3. Hopefully someone can tell me what it is that I’m doing wrong. Thanks in advance for any help!
Are the channels enabled on the second tuner? Mine work fine as shown here:

Also it could it just be bad reception when you see this problem?
Here’s the screenshot, from when the issue happened actually. So naturally the red tuners are currently recording, and the green ones are, in theory, wide open for someone to go ahead and watch something. But when I would try to to tune another channel, and to answer your question, the channel is absolutely enabled on both, PMS didn’t seem to have the sense to hop over to the next tuner array. However, the channel would tune just fine over on the HDHomeRun native app. I hope this is making sense.
Well I see the Right tuner has 5 channels less activated but I doubt that you haven’t eliminated that.
I’ve tested this using all 8 tuners of mine without any problems on my Raspberry Pi 4b using PLEX.
So gues someone else (PLEX?) should look at this…
