Two movies with same first two words

I have not posted to Plex in several years because all of the minor problems I had resolved by themselves. Magic I guess. Anyhow I put to movies on my server. The first one was called Wild Window Beneath The Sea and the second one Wild Window Bejeweled Fishes. After I placed the second one, there was no notice of it in recently added movies. I went to the general listing and there was a number 2 in the left hand corner of the Wild Window Beneath the sea. I split them, but both had the same appellation. When I tried to fix the match of Bejeweled Fishes, it was listed, but when I went to fix the match, it combined both movies under Wild Window Beneath the Sea…Any help?

You should be able to “Split Items” back apart from the … context menu when viewing the title. This should not present a problem by nature, I have two titles with the same name that were released in the same year despite being vastly different films. Plex might accidentally try to link them together but easy enough to split apart and force rematching on the incorrect one to overcome this issue

Call them this.
Wild Window Bejeweled Fishes (2016)
Wild Window Beneath the Sea (2018)

The fact that the name has a colon in it and you can’t put that in a file name, you may have to do a manual match and add the colon.

thanks

I did split them apart, but when i tried to name Bejeweled Fishes, it combined the two again and again and again.

What agent are you using on that library?

agent? I tried all three under match.

There is a cheat you can try.
the url for that movie on IMDB is
https:// www.imdb.com /title/ tt5845392/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

copy the value out. “tt5845392”
Search for that when you do a fix match
