What to do? 2 movies same name same year

Mr. Right 2015 www.imdb.com/title/tt2091935/
Mr. Right 2015 www.imdb.com/title/tt3812348/

All my movies use the folder name with the year…

any suggestions?

It’s not seeing them as 2 movies…
I’m trying to figure out how to add them to the disk… since they both have the same movie name and year

do a fix match but use the imdb id number ( tt3812348 ) in the title field. the top result will be the right one

my file structure is folder “movie name (year)”
both have the same name and year…

OH I got you, you will have to add something to separate them

like

/data/movies/Mr. Right (2015) - 1/Mr. Right (2015) - 1.mkv
/data/movies/Mr. Right (2015) - 2/Mr. Right (2015) - 2.mkv

and/or use the tt#

you can also add whatever you want in brackets . things in brackets are ignored by agents

Mr. Right (2015) [Columbus Short version]

I’m going to try that but using;

Mr. Right [Sam Rockwell Version] (2015)
Mr. Right [Columbus Short version] (2015)

only because I use TMM as the media manager and I can add that to the title,
it also updates all the files correctly this way.
Now will Plex see it correctly… It take a very long time for Plex to scan…

I’ll edit this once I know…

Plex shows both movies with the added notation…

The Sam Rockwell version was released in the USA in 2016. See screenshot below.

Use 2016 in the Rockwell version and 2015 in the Short version and Plex will match things correctly.

This is also visible when performing a Fix Match. It shows Mr. Right 2016 and Mr. Right 2015 (as well as a couple of other versions).

  /Mr. Right (2015)/Mr. Right (2015).mkv
  /Mr. Right (2016)/Mr. Right (2016).mkv
