Channel number/Name: 735 and 736
So I’m getting ready to watch the baseball post-season and root for my MLB-leading Dodgers so I thought I’d set up the DVR to record the games.
It turns out that the Plex guide (provider is Spectrum) doesn’t list team names on the individual wild card games that start on Wednesday (because not all of the teams have finished regular season yet) so I’m going to record them all. However, on Wednesday ESPN is showing two games on two different channels at the same time. The title of both shows is “MLB Baseball” with the same description for both.
So I selected the first airing on channel 735 (ESPN) that starts at 9:30 in my time zone and made sure that Record was set to This Event and specified in Advanced Settings to Limit to Channel 735. No problem. It’s working fine.
Then I clicked on MLB Baseball on channel 736 (ESPN2) that starts at 10:00. It was already marked to be recorded, but I hadn’t done anything to record it. Looks like there may be a problem. So I clicked on Show Advanced and went to Limit to Channel and it was already set to channel 735. So I changed it to channel 736.
I think I know there’s a problem but let’s check to make sure. So I clicked on the channel 735 recording, selected Show Advanced and scrolled down to Limit to Channel. Can you guess what I saw? Yeah, it’s screwed up again (still???). It appears that I can only record channel 735 OR channel 736. What’s up with that?
Hopefully a moderator can look into this before 1630 GMT 30 September 2020 so I can set Plex to record two shows at the same time.
