Two Xbox Ones

So I am thinking of getting a second Xbox One but want to understand that it will work first.

At present I have an Xbox One and an Xbox 360 in the same house and I can be signed in on both watching different shows, obviously a family member is watching one but it is very handy.

I have the xbox live subscription and plex pass, although I understand the xbox live subscription isn't important just the account. So basically if I was to swap the Xbox 360 for another Xbox One would the same thing work? I know I won't be able to logged into two Xbox Ones at the same time, but is there a way for my family to watch shows on both at the same time, under my one plex pass subscription?

My family already have xbox live accounts (non gold) but if they were to sign up to plex as well (non plex pass) would this work it out?

Thanks for your help

There is a sticky in this section that explains multi-user setup via Plex Home. Take a look at that and it should tell you what you need to know.

Thanks I have read that previously but I guess I read it as only applying to multiple users on the same xbox, not multiple xboxes at the same time. But on reading it again I gather it should work that way

I have 4 xbox ones in my house all connected to my pc. I have a plex pass (only 1 pass) and I do not have an xbox live gold anymore as I do not need it to run plex

All users are connected to my server as managed users. I have never had any issues whatsoever

The only gotcha is that Plex is tied to the the Xbox Live ID.  Since you can only be logged into one Xbox One at a time in order to have all 4 Xbox One's using Plex at the same time they would each need to be logged in with a different Xbox ID.

Probably not a big deal, but just making sure you understood that.

Ok so based on all the advice I have a second xbox one and have this setup. My one concern and it is a fairly annoying one is that when the second user is signed in it doesn't show what has already been watched. Yes we are two different users but we would prefer to have the same library with the same shows listed as being watched.

Is there making this happen? This is major setback for me

No way that I know around this at present.

Maybe in the next release IF they give us the normal home user signin then you'll be able to select/use the same userid on both machines.

If you know how to program you could technically do this yourself (if you are careful) in SQL.

Thanks for the response cayars, a real shame though.

Hoping for them to fix it in the next update seems like a long shot, he'll an update of any description seems like a long shot at this point

And no I'm not up to programming it

Thanks for the info
