Has anybody gotten the Hauppauge wintv quad HD to work on a linux box with plex tv? It never finds any channels. I have loaded the drivers from the PPA here: http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/linux.html
Its curious that it sees the device as 2 physical tuners instead of 1.
I attached my Plex Tuner Service Log. I’m seeing some warnings that might be part of it.

I have tried everything I can google/read up on. I’ve done a clean install of 17.04 with kernal 4.10, installed via the PPA and tried the firmware drivers in the link above.
I’m in Sydney, Australia. My Hauppauge quadtv shows up in plex, but channel scan reveals nothing and I know the antenna is fine, as my TV picks up digital channels no problem!
Really frustrated and disappointed, listing this as ‘compatible’ is a bloody massive stretch.
If anyone has any further suggestions I’m all ears.
Here are my logs.
@darkharmonics, Is the card working under Linux?
I had a similar experience - It wasn’t until I used a scanning tool that I could see what was (or not!) going on. I Installed w-scan -> ref: https://www.howtoinstall.co/en/ubuntu/xenial/w-scan
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install w-scan
Then run it to scan for channels -> ref: http://wirbel.htpc-forum.de/w_scan/index2.html
w_scan –f t –c AU -x> initial-tuning-data.txt
Does it find any channels?
