The LG app suffers from the same bugs as other clients like Plex HTPC.
There are two very noticable bugs:

Whenever a new item is selected in the “home screen” that has been viewed and is marked as viewed, the green checkbox disappears and does not come back when selecting the next item… This does not happen when browsing in a library…
The second one is about the loss of actors after watching a movie…
After playback only this is displayed in the area where normally all the actors are shown… This issue is also present in Plex HTPC
