UI Customizations & Performance (any experience version)

Will the new direction for the Apple TV app/iOS/Android etc provide a better opportunity for customizations when officially release compared to it now/the old UI? Will we be able to manipulate order of Libraries/pin items, change how data is loaded/appears? Just wondering if the new method allows for further user customizations than the old UI.

Also, what are the refresh methods happening in the new UI? I have been trying to use it (definitely sleaker but has a ways to go for functionality and usability to find things) but notice it very rarely refreshes properly which makes watching shows kind of a pain. If I don’t let it auto play files it typically doesn’t reset in the UI to the next available episode for example.

Finally, what is the goal for public release and responsiveness. It is extremely behind the prior app and the iOS release hasn’t gotten much better in the 4 or so betas. Tons of hang spots, navigating is very very slow. I have large libraries, but I would think the loading and refreshing would be at a minimum just as fast as the prior release.

No, the entire motivation of plex is to make the experience so frustrating people stop using it for their own content and then they can get rid of the personal libraries and say well it just was not that popular anymore, 100% guaranteed that is what they are doing

if they don’t care about those users they can just abandon us, we are a minority at this point, so this take doesn’t make sense.

If this were the case I seriously doubt that they would allow you to completely disable every online media source and social feature available on the platform. This propagates to every client, including the preview app.

Please don’t spread FUD because you don’t like the first release of an in-development, alpha preview of an entirely new application.

If the iOS and Android previews are any indication, improvements will be made and navigation and performance will be improved. There will also be more bugs, more fixes, and more mis-steps and course corrections.
