I’ve had the DVR side of plex set up and working brilliantly (using HDHomeRun hardware). However for various reasons, I’ve just had to set it up again (fresh install etc.) and am at the step for selecting the program guide. The only options i’m getting are for Freesat or Sky, neither of which match up to the standard Freeview channels and have large blocks of channels with no information whatsoever.
The page before selecting which guide to use shows 163 channels available, which corresponds to the list on the HDHR info pages. All channels are working fine. I think the first time I had this all running it gave me the option of the YouView program guide, but this doesn’t seem to be available to select…i’ve tried not entering a postcode, entering other postcodes from different areas but still no luck.
Had anyone else experienced this or found a work around?
I’ve noticed several people complain about the lack of Freeview, so sounds like I need to open up some tickets with my metadata provider.
What is your zip code?
I assume freeview means you’re getting these channels with an antenna?

I did a bit more testing and all that and have finally managed to find something usable! My postcode is PL14### (no zipcodes over here in the UK) which only gave me the Sky and Freesat options, as did just trying PL14. I did however manage to get a YouView listing by using TR1 which provides me with a correct program guide for my area (southwest England).
Your assumption re. Freeview is correct as well…it is in essence the standard over the air digital channels available via a standard antenna. Freesat is the satellite equivalent, with extra channels but still subscription free (but different channel numbers). YouView is another option, provided via companies such as BT or TalkTalk with a subscription service for additional channels but the hardware itself can also be bought outright to provide DVR and internet connected catch-up services but uses the standard Freeview channel listings.
