Uk TV agents

Hi Guys

 

A quick question - what is the best approach for metadata agents for Uk TV shows?

 

I am finding things like "The Office" only results in the US version not UK.

 

Things like "Morecambe & Wise" are not found at all.

 

Files and folders are of course all named the correct way.

Hi, David.  Welcome to Plex!

The standard TVDB agent will match UK TV shows.  You most likely don't have them named correctly - often when there is a UK TV show which has the same name as a US show you need to put (UK) in the folder name, such as The Office.

Occasionally you will need to 'fix incorrect match' in PMS and choose the UK version.

When in doubt, check TVDB.

There is 10 Morecambe & Wise. label the folder as per theTVDB.com title to have it match

There is 5 matches for "the office"

The title for the office uk version is......"The Office (UK)" and the folder is not labelled so, therefore the statement "Files and folders are of course all named the correct way." is false. If that was the case, nothing could be done... you can always match manually, and you can even put the tvdbid in the search, so it match the one you want...
