Umm, Magic DVR? Plex thinks it’s recording 4 shows simultaneously on 3 tuner HDHomerun Prime 3
I am switching from an OTA Quatro to a Prime 3 so I’m doing a few things that don’t happen that often.
Last night I noticed that my Plex Server (MacOSX) was recording four shows at once even though I only have a single Prime 3 connected and defined. But checking the progress circle I confirmed that it thought it was actively recording rather than having interrupted a show in progress to record one that started latter (screenshots below)
Of the shows it thought it was recording, two were single shots(no repeats) and two had repeat broadcasts coming. What it actually did was record the two that had repeats and one of the single shots, dropping the other single shot. Of the repeats, the PBS NewHour repeat has occurred and been recorded again (so now have two copies) and the Ken Burns show doesn’t repeat till tomorrow(Wed) morning so not sure what it will do with that repeat.
I hadn’t known about the EPG update till researching this after I deleted my old DVR and added the Prime 3. Based on some Icon changes and the timing I am assuming that I am on the newer(Gracenote ) DB
Looking back at the DVR schedule for yesterday, I now see two of the shows are no longer there.
Some background on the show record entries. Nurses (missing) was earlier defined as ongoing. Ken Burns had been setup as a single show(multiple occurrences and rescheduled due to earlier error), PBS NewHour was an ongoing show(record new episodes, multiple occurrences and rescheduled due to earlier error). The 20/20 Vaccine show was last one added (one shot) earlier that night
