Will you guys be submitting the UMP app of plex for the xbox one? I would love to see the same experience we have on the desktop app to be on the xbox as well.
News about UMP:
While most likely Plex will be moving to a UWP app to ease the development for all Windows based platforms. Plex does not typically release information on future platform developements. Because of that there has been no official word on if or when the Xbox One will move over to the UWP app.
The UWP app is still fraught with problems and is very buggy and even more featureless than the xbox one app is today.
If they do plan to merge the products and run the UWP app on the xbox one, I hope they wait till alot of the kinks are sorted with the UWP app.
Even so, the UWP dev team has admitted that the app (currently) is aimed at touch devices and spanning the phone–tablet–touch PC–PC range of products, and it isn’t suited for HTPC/10 ft interface scenarios.
As of today the UWP app is horribly suited for the Xbox One.
