Hello, admittedly, I haven’t touched my server in a while, and just downloaded the latest update (last version was a year old). Once I installed the latest code, I was no longer able to play any media citing different errors from unable to transcode, to codec doesn’t exist, to server not reachable, different every time. No media would play.
I uninstalled the server, and reinstalled a fresh copy, and I am unable to login to http://192.168…:32400/web. It returns a message “didn’t send any data”
Full disclosure, I was unable to access on the local network before, but didn’t think much of it since I could always access externally through my plex account. Am I missing something obvious on the Synology configuration? I have a DS1815+
I’ve been digging through tons of other forum articles, and no one seems to mention an issue of not having access to at least the local server. Any ideas?
Do you have the DSM firewall enabled, disable it if you do. No
Do you have the correct Gateway and DNS server IP addresses configured for your NIC in DSM? Yes
Are you using more than one NIC on the NAS? Yes, Bonded
Have you configured the NIC/IP Address to use in Plex settings > server > network > show advanced? I am unable to even access Plex to address any settings
I tried both the windows script (error…underlying connection was closed). Directly on Synology returned same error as well. There are no logs. Plex directory is empty in File Station.

Thanks…I followed all of your steps to remove, downloaded, verified again (this time in Explorer). New install recreated the Plex user and directory. The directory is empty, same result. Plex shows running in Task Manager and Package view, however, web does not work.
I figured it out…first, disregard the folder share. Somehow my permissions got removed to see the folder. I went in and deleted the Plex Share Folder, reinstalled Plex, and all is working as it should. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of lost metadata, but back in action.
