Unable to access PMS via new router connected via ethernet

Hi @dirtycajunrice

Just got this:

O.o send the ipconfig /all command. Remember to put it in code block

Sorry - I will put in code block shortly - am on my Mac at the moment, and the offending laptop is no longer connected to the web so I can’t mail it to this machine…

Actually that’s fine. Do you see Ethernet adapter 1? It’s not getting an IP from the dhcp server. It has a 169 address (link local). Silly question but have you restarted your computer at all during troubleshooting?
Assuming you have… just statically set the ip like you did with the other computer and see if you still have the issue. (Unique last octet… like .201)

@dirtycajunrice - I think you’re being overly complicated for this configuration. When they had two routers, yes perhaps setting each computer adapter individually might have helped. now though, it’s complicating matters.

I recommend not setting static IPs on the client computers/end devices.
You tell the router to assign static IPs to any device you need to keep constant (really, only the server needs it right now) in its DHCP scope.
You set each computer to pick up it’s IP address using normal DHCP.

@bmdcox
As for that apple device, are you sure it’s not picking up a “guest” wifi that has “isolation” from the rest of the network. Some routers have a normal and a guest connection - the guest connection is used so you can share with visitors to your house and they won’t get the same password and won’t see your own computer equipment.

@JamminR look man. He stated many times all of these devices are connected through Ethernet. No WiFi. He has given proof that he has DHCP enabled, and has shown that the computer is not picking up the dhcp broadcasts by showing the link local address. This is basic networking and you are under complicating it and not reading the prior dialog that answers the prior suggestions you’re making that are rendered moot

Hi team,

So I am continuing on with @dirtycajunrice’s suggestion - I have just restarted the machine and tried the >ipconfig /release once again. Similar results - I got the following (sorry again for the screenshot!); machine is disconnected from the internet again:

Release drops the ip, Renew gets a new one. Do the renew command and wait a min and see what ip you get for adapter 1. Ignore adapter 2 errors

Result as follows:

Boom! Dhcp working! Can you hit google and can you hit https://192.168.0.200:32400/web ?

2. assuming it is wired

Most know what assuming does.

All I see were assumptions, but if bmdcox never reconnected the ethernet after testing on Wifi, or, the ATV defaulted to Wifi even after a reconnect to wired and reboot just like many of my set top box devices, a .200 IP outside of his other assignments, along with the lack of connectivity, sounds like isolation.
But, since you don’t want additional ideas, I’ll stop posting and move on.
Happy Easter.

Thanks @JamminR @dirtycajunrice - I really appreciate all the help.

I’m still in a bind trying to get this last computer to connect? Can anyone just help me to the finish line?

Did you do the last to things I posted?

Yep - when I navigate to https://192.168.0.200:32400/web I get ‘site cannot be reached’…

My server has never been accessible outside my network, not sure if that’s something to do with it.

To add insult to injury my Apple TV is giving me ‘Server unavailable’ again. Really don’t know what’s going on… :s

If you ping 192.168.0.200 from a command prompt what do you get.

Request timed out…

Dead serious question. Is The machine running plex asleep

Lols! Nope, all machines are very much awake.

Give me the output of netstat -tna in a command prompt on the server
