I just recently signed up with Plex to stream my media. I’m trying to add my library but theres no “add library function”. I’ve followed the instructions but still unable to locate. I dont have any apps blocking it, I’ve “allowed” Plex in all of the preferences of safari. I’ve even tried chrome too. Nothing appears to be working.
Is there someone who can shed some light on how to do this?
Using Plex Web or Plex for Windows/Mac:
Settings → Manage → Libraries → Add Library
Alternately, from the Home page, select More, mouse over your server name, click on the + to the right of the server name.

Thanks for the response. Slo I’ve been reading the intro articles to “add library” and followed the procedure you mentioned above and in the creating libraries article.
Unfortunately, I do not see “manage” in the settings. I’ve attached a screen. Perhaps I m missed it. But I’ve logged in and even tried logging out again to see. I know there is a startup wizard but I never saw this either when I installed the app or used the web ui.
that is the version of the web player. Plex web is not the server. Do you have the server installed and is it running? What URL are you using to access that page of web app?
So I have the Mac version. I flushed out my cache and deleted the logs in terminal. When opening I was able to see the add library. The version is 4.34.3. I’m not sure why it was 4.30.2 as I downloaded the apps directly from plex’s website yesterday. When I select the “about” it says version 1.19.5.3035-864bbcbb7.
So whatever version is correct or version number you’re looking for it seems to be working after I cleared the cache and deleted the logs.
What URL are you using to access that page of web app?

either should work. have you tried using the actual local IP of the computer
all is working currently. I’ve added videos to a folder and watching on another device currently. seems to be all good now.
