I have just set up a Synology DS918+, moved my media onto an 8tb drive within it, and installed the latest version of plex server on it. I am able to view and play my media from devices connected to my home network without plex so I know it is there and functional. The problem is when I open the plex server app on the DS918+ and go to add library and select the directory where my “Media” folder is, the “Media” folder does not show up. I have tried even typing DS918/Media/Movies in and adding it that way but it just adds it and tells me there is no media there. This is my first time posting a question in a forum online so I apologize for any errors. Hopelessly stuck, please help.
