Unable to add more than 4 extras to ripped DVDs

I’m using the Plex advice re adding DVD Extras using subfolders named as in the Plex Support page. But I can’t seem to add more than 4 extras. Additionally, I’m finding that Plex is weirdly fussy about the subfolder name I choose. Some just don’t work and others work fine. I’m using the free version of Plex with my server on a NAS and viewing on an iMac running ‘Monterey’ and an LG smart TV. Thanks!

Seems to work alright here. You can see from the attached image, I have two trailers and six shorts for the Disney movie “Brave.” Those are followed by the extras that Plex finds (in this case, only trailers)

I’m not sure I’d call it “fussy,” but you do have to use the the subfolder names for extras that Plex mentions in the subfolder article.

Thanks, leelynds, for responding so quickly. Your info is very useful to have, although I see you are a paid ‘Plex Pass’ user. I couldn’t find anything online suggesting that users of the free version were restricted in the number of Extras they could add… One thing occurs to me now - I’m using a ‘patched’ version of macOS Monterey, so this just might be an unreported quirk of that patch. I’ll chase it up further. As for the subfolder names, I have been following the Plex article exactly. Thanks again!

Local extras aren’t restricted by not having a Plex Pass.
I don’t think this is related to whatever patch of macOS you’re referring at here.

How did you organize/name those extras of yours where no more than 4 will show up?

If you add more extras after the initial scan of the movie, Plex doesn’t usually find them until you do a “Refresh Metadata” on the movie or tv series. Perhaps that will fix you up!

Thanks tom80H and leelynds. It’s the patch. Tried it on a different Mac and I can add all the extras I want. Live and learn - it’s an undocumented glitch.
