A couple of days ago, I ripped one 4K and two blu-ray disks. Plex sees all of the extras files that I ripped from those disks. I have watched two of those movies.
Today, I ripped two blu-ray disks, but Plex cannot see any of the extras files that I ripped on my Mac or on my TV via the nVidia Shield. I ran both of today’s movies on my TV for a few seconds without noticing any playback problems. I will appreciate any help you can offer. Please let me know if I did not download the correct log files. Thanks.
Can you check if Plex picks those extras up if you place them in an extra folder?

As suggested, I created an Extras folder for one of these movies, moved the one extras file into that folder, and scanned the files, but nothing changed. As you can see from the screen shots I sent earlier, Plex is no longer showing cast members, reviews, or related movies either. I have nearly 700 movies in my collection. I selected a few titles at random, and they still seem normal.
Here’s part of the Plex page for the 4K movie I ripped a couple of days ago–Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing.”
Without my doing anything since my last reply, the cast, reviews, etc. information showed up on the Plex screen for those two movies. Did the requirement to create special folders for extras files occur in the last Plex upgrade? That’s something of a pain because I usually do not know the content of a file until I give it a dummy name and watch it. Why aren’t my old movies affected by this special-folder requirement? Thanks for the help.
I don’t understand how Plex works, but my experience has been that Plex works when I follow its file-naming rules. I have used the inline method. From time to time, Plex ceases to work even though I have followed its rules, which always leaves me wondering whether Plex is having a “bad hair” day, Plex’s rules have changed, or I typed something incorrectly. In this case, after ripping the three disks mentioned in my initial post, I checked for Plex updates before copying my files to a back-up NAS and installed the latest version of PMS. A day or two later, I ripped the two newer disks while Plex was using its latest version. Now, I’m left wondering why Plex still accepts the inline method for more than 600 movies, but requires the sub folder method for my two latest movies. In any event, thank you for your reply to my last query.
