I’m unable to cast anything from other Plex players to my 2024 Samsung tv‘s Plex app. On my iOS devices the tv doesn’t even show up in the client list of the regular Plex players.
It does show up as client in the browser app on Mac and iOS, as well as in the PlexAmp apps on iOS, but whenever I try to cast something to it, I get an error message on the tv saying „Playback Error An error occurred loading items into the play queue“
All players and the server are signed in. All my devices‘ OSs are up to date, all players and the server are up to date. All devices are connected to the same network, either wired or 5GHz WiFi6.
Restarting the server or the players, rebooting the devices, signing out and back in server and players, none of this has made any difference.
I basically haven’t been able to cast anything to the Plex app on this tv since I bought it a year ago. I kept hoping for an update that would fix this but I’m losing hope as well as patience now. I’d very much appreciate any help, advice or assistance.
With the old orca Plex app on my old Samsung tv I never had any issues, despite it never getting any updates for years and never being officially supported by Plex.
