Unable to cast video from Android period

I can’t cast anything from the Android phone storage. It will load all of it up and when I hit play on the FireTV it will say," server is not capable of converting this item for playback at the current quality settings would you like to attempt to play the original quality?" Which is wrong because it natively plays through localcast which is a casting capable app that’s free but this one won’t even if I hit yes your app will instead of play it streamline direct share style it will fire back another error that says," playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media server has been lost." Which is 100% wrong and has something to do with one of the apps that you have released because if I go to open remote while it’s connected the moment I hit any button it will work on the TV but immediately disconnect and say the server is not available on the Android app so there’s some issue going on with one of your apps that is not properly working.

this has been a problem for a while now. At one point it was fixed and now it’s back to being broken any thoughts?

I’m confused. If you are casting from your phone to the FireTV, why are you hitting play on the FireTv itself? That isn’t casting.

Do you mean you’ve activated the feature to have your phone act as a server and accessing the phone from the FireTV? If so, then it sounds like you’ve got the quality setting on the FireTV set to a lower value than the file on the phone so it is trying to transcode, which the phone cannot do.
