Server Version#:1.15.6.1079
Player Version#:3.100.1
Since I got no response in the original thread for 30 days, I will create new one (Plex support, yay).
In plex web player, I am unable to change the video quality in movie details screen, started a few versions ago. It used to be same way as audio and subtitles, I have clicked the link (said for example 720p H264), then a drop down emerged and I could choose quality before start of the play. Now this line is white and unclickable and I have to start movie first and then change video quality in stream properties while playing. Tried differnt browsers on different PC’s, cache cleared several times, tried disabling HW transcoding, no luck.

Don’t pings folk like that again or you will be banned from this forum. I’m sorry i did not get your previous private messages.
I am having a look at your logs and will get back to you when i see a reason for the issue.
Okay, then tell me what else to do to get some actual support here. You may not like it, but what I did seem to work, thank you for stepping in.
There is no guarantee of personal 1 on 1 support at all. https://www.plex.tv/about/privacy-legal/plex-terms-of-service Do not ping folks like that again.
Sigh… Look, just to make things clear, this is not personal, for me, you are a Plex company embodiment.
You can write whatever BS you want in the TOS. Fact is, when you click the Contact link on the Plex website, select that you want technical support - you get directed to the forums. People expect to get support here, it is called a support forums after all. If you think otherwise, please rename it to Vent-your-frustration-here-but-expect-nothing forums.
And when I guy (like me) come to the support forums expecting support and gets nothing after 2 months, he or she gets either toxic or creative.
I chose creative (with a hint of toxic maybe).
If you want people to behave maybe you should:
- start responding to issues - and note that I am not saying solving right away - just acknowledging the problem goes a long way
- defining who is responsible for what. If there would be a sticky with people responsible for different platforms with clear rules, things would be much easier (example - issue with server on linux platform 14 days no reply, ping -insert name of mod here-)
Kindly point out the post in the Linux threads?
I have searched through all posts which are created with Linux tagging (yes, I receive every one) and find nothing.
Hi @ChuckPa, yes, for you - I do not know how well you are paid, but even if it is a few gold bars every month it’s not enough. But you can’t save everything. There is a whole thread of people complaining about unanswered posts, and I am quite sure I would find more than few (probably outside of the Linux section) threads lacking reply - issue with botched versioning of WD platform is a prime example.
Can you please point out the posts / threads as I had requested?
( Translation: Can you share the links?
)
PS: I know nothing about WD. I have skills but not that many
