Unable to connect my NAS PMS !

I’ve updated PMS on my synology, and I don’t have any internet connection for the moment. Now Plex asks for account login, which I’m unable to do without internet… How should I do ? I cannot use plex anymore, and it’s very annoying because it’s the only way I have to watch my movies on my screen through a raspberry pi and rasplex. Does anyone know how to avoid login to enjoy piles features in local networks ? I’m a real plex lover, I’m keen on this software but now I’m kinda desperate… Help please !!!

You can take your Plex server completely ‘offline’. When in a signed-out state, you’ll obviously lose your Plex Pass features, but it will work.

If you stop Plex, delete Preferences.xml, then start it, it will begin again as if a ‘First Run’ situation.

Look in the lower right corner at the “What’s this?”. Follow it.

Make certain to NOT sign into your Plex account. It will deliberately make it difficult for you.
This is because of all the potential security issues when running completely unsecured.

There will be no need to create a library when it prompts… just skip over that and get to the dashboard.

If your browser still thinks it’s signed in, sign out. (it will go gray – upper right corner).

That’s it… local lan auth now fully disabled.

Yessssss ! It worked ! Thanks a lot for your help ! No more Plex Pass feature for the moment, but the essential is that I can run my Pi with rasplex. Perfect.

As followup,

You can add any device on your LAN to run without auth (Settings - Server - Network). This will allow your server to run with full features when you get connection back and let those devices which have authentication difficulties run in a non-plexpass ‘basic’ mode (just as if fully offline)
