I see where PMS found the DVR but I don’t see that it completed a channel scan. I’m not sure how you are getting to the zip code entry without the channel scan. Can you just start over? Disable verbose logging. Delete the DVR. Restart PMS and start the DVR process again. If you get the same problem, wait about 1 minute, then get me new logs.
I can send screen shots but the channels are showing and I can rescan if needed… There is not a completed DVR… I have never been able to add one due to the failure of the channel guide… so no DVR to delete
I purchased my Plex Pass yesterday morning and installed the server software… it never worked… I uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it has not worked.,… I then installed on a newer MacBook Pro and it didn’t work either…
After the zip code is typed in , should the continue button be active or greyed out. It remains greyed out in my situation and the timeout occurs… If I strike the return button anyway then the progress ring appears but remains at 0% and the result is the same… timeout…
yes… powered down and back on… I can see it and can force a rescan of the channels… why would it time out on channel guide. It’s not retrieved from the HDHomerun but from the EPG service provided by Plex isn’t it…
yea my son in law has Plex up and running at his house and it is why I chose two convert over from the Silicone dust software. His home uses a HDHomerun and a Linux server… less than 20 miles away and we used his zip also… it failed the same. We then decided he should take the MacBook to his house and try it… we had the same failure on his network using his HDHomerun… I then installed the server on my New MacBook Pro and tried it… I have the same issue on a different computer…
I have a double bowtie antenna mounted on a 40ft tower. I can watch 57 channels on the HDHomerun using their software… I’m not a fan of the guide nor the navigation…
Just so if someone else searches for this error… It ended up being an issue with the cable internet provider blocking access to the guide data… my solution was already in progress and I switched over to fiber internet provided by an electric services supplier… at that time the guide data updated as it should have…
