Unable to find client profile for device; platform=TiVo, platformVersion=21.1, device=, model=TCDD6E

this error message show up constantly today in the Plex Console logs when I try to log into Plex and watch a movie.

It’s like my Tivo Plex app isn’t communicating. My android devices (phone and mibox s) work okay. I also lost remote connection. Just did a plex server update. What is going on?

where is my client profile? The “important information” link doesn’t say I can’t use Plex for Tivo; only says it will not run on a secure connection.

There is no client profile for Tivo devices. They just use the generic profile.

Do you have the security settings as mentioned in that thread?

Preferred setting did not work. After hours and hours of reading through these forums, I found a suggestion that brought my Tivo Plex back to working…I selected DISABLED.

SETTINGS > NETWORK > SECURE CONNECTIONS > DISABLED. The recommendation from the 9/30 waring was to change it to “PREFERRED”, but that neve worked.

Did you also change the setting in the Plex app on the TiVo?

Since 9/30/2021, my settings in plex app on Tivo are set to “always” on my Tivo Edge box, and “on same network as server” on a Tivo mino vox box.
