Unable to get Doctor Who (1963) recognized

I give up. I have tried everything I could find on how to get the original Doctor Who series recognized and nothing I have tried works.

Currently the directory structure is as follows:

TV Shows
—Doctor Who
------Season 01

I have tried adding (1963) to the Doctor Who directory also.

File naming is as follows:

Doctor Who (1963) - S01E01 - An Unearthly Child (1)
Doctor Who (1963) - S01E02 - The Cave of Skulls (2)
etc

I also tried the name without the (1963).

Episodes are named as they are in TVDB.

I have removed the files, run the Plex Dance, and put the files back but they won’t pick up the meta data. All they show is Episode 1, Episode 2, etc. No titles and no artwork. I have Doctor Who (2005) working fine but can’t get the original episodes recognized. What am I doing wrong?

Perform a Fix Match. Instead of the show name, search with the TVDB show ID, 76107 for Dr. Who. Leave the year blank. This should find a match.

TheTVDB is making some changes to their system and it is causing issues with TV show matching for Plex. See this post for additional details.

Thanks for the response. I would perform a Fix Match except for two issues.

1. Fix Match does not appear on the menu
2. Fix Matching 26 seasons of Doctor Who would be a royal P.I.T.A.

Any other ideas?

That’s why Fix Match ONLY appears at the Show Level - not Season or Episode level.

My Bad. I showed the wrong menu. It is still not on the episode menu.

Exactly, it’s on the show menu.
You want to match the show not each episode.

I did a Fix Match switching to IMDB and it worked. The TVDB returned no matches.
