installing any version on brand new qnap nas does not create a server. Plex Media Server is running but the web client is only a client - it only looks for my other Plex devices. it does not create a server instance.
posting this here in case being a Plex Pass subscriber might get me some help
What model qnap running which firmware?

I have tried the most recent Plex downloaded and installed manually, 1.7.5.4035, as well as the Plex that is available through the Qnap App Store, 1.5.3.3580
Sorry not going to be much help here, i seem to recall having the same problem at some point. Something in the back of my mind is thinking it may have ended up being a browser related issue (clear browsing data perhaps)? Then i’d remove Plex, reboot, reinstall (x64 version for 4.3 fw?) downloaded direct from Plex website.
